Thanks for your interest in helping the animals at the Española Valley Humane Society. There are many ways for groups and individuals to help us serve animals, including some of the following ideas:

Hold a fundraiser to benefit EVHS
Financial donations are used where it is most needed, whether to provide emergency medical treatment to an injured animal, purchase supplies for our shelter, or buy diesel fuel for our “Driving Doggies” transfer van. Some groups have held book and bake sales, pet food drives, car washes, and talent shows for our benefit, but the possibilities are endless.

Organize a supply drive to collect things we need
Our shelter and clinic always need certain supplies. View our “wish list” of items.

Make toys to entertain cats
Decorate empty plastic eggs or ping pong balls with permanent markers. Our cats love these simple rolling toys.

Recycle your old blankets and towels
We can put them to use for cat beds and cleaning up after our animals. Santa Fe residents can bring donated items to the Barkin’ Boutique (Link takes you to SHOP > Barkin’ Boutique) and we’ll make sure they get to the shelter.
