Foster Parent trainings
Saturday March 20, 11am-3pm
Espanola Valley Humane Society receives around 4,300 animals each year, and as many as 800 of those animals will need foster care at some point. Some of them are sick or injured, some of them are too young to go up for adoption, and some of them just need a safe haven to stay in until there is an adoption event or Colorado transfer coming up. But no matter what the reason, we are in need of foster parents urgently. With three large adoption events coming up in April and May, we would like to place approximately 250 animals in foster care until these events. Foster parents should be able to commit between 2 and 12 weeks (you tell us how long you can give) and be willing to provide food, shelter and lots of TLC for the little ones in their care. We have three training sessions coming up for foster parents (both new and returning), so come on by to learn more about the program! Current foster parents are also asked to attend to brush up on changes and additions to the program.
