Lill is celebrating her fourth birthday as our shelter mascot, and although this spoiled girl has lots of toys at home, she is asking that all of her fans bring a toy for her homeless furry friends at the shelter. The toy drive will kick-off in conjunction with a pet adoption fair with the help of the kind folks at Beaver Toyota.
Adoptions and toy drop-offs can be done at Beaver Toyota on St. Michaels Drive in Santa Fe on Saturday May 19th, from 11am-4pm.
Anyone who drops off a toy on Saturday, May 19th will be entered into a drawing to win prizes from Beaver Toyota!
The dog and cat toy drive will run from May 19 to June 19 and drop-offs can be made at the Barkin’ Boutique in Santa Fe (on Pen Rd, next to Jinja) or at the shelter in Espanola.

We offer volunteer trainings several times a month, and ask that you attend one of these 30-minute trainings to learn about the shelter’s policies and procedures before working with our wonderful animals. Please come wearing non-slip shoes, long pants and comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Once you have gone through the volunteer training, you are free to come to the shelter during open hours (10:30am-5pm, 7 days a week). Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult for training and volunteer sessions.
June 10, 2012
If you are looking to become involved with us for the first time, or for the first time in a long time, stop by one of our volunteer trainings.
This month, trainings will be held on:
Saturday, June 9th, 11am
Sunday, June 10th, 2pm
Tuesday, June 19th, 4pm
Volunteers between the ages of 8 and 18 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 during training and subsequent volunteer shifts. Volunteers should come to training dressed for indoor/outdoor activities and in clothes that won’t mind the presence of muddy paws. Please RSVP so we know how many trainees to expect at EVHSNina@gmail.com.
