We will be at the Petsmart on Coors in Albuquerque near the Cottonwood Mall this weekend with adoptable babies galore! Event runs both Saturday (9am-5pm) and Sunday (10am-4pm), and all adopted pets come with a bag full of coupons and goodies from Petsmart. Thanks to our friends at Watermelon Mountain Ranch for the invitation!

We offer volunteer trainings several times a month, and ask that you attend one of these 30-minute trainings to learn about the shelter’s policies and procedures before working with our wonderful animals. Please come wearing non-slip shoes, long pants and comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Once you have gone through the volunteer training, you are free to come to the shelter during open hours (10:30am-5pm, 7 days a week). Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult for training and volunteer sessions.

In partnership with PURINA ONE®, Tour for Life is the world’s largest cooperative national adoption initiative aimed at reinforcing the importance and advantages of shelter pet adoptions and familiarizing communities with their local shelter.
We have been invited to this event for the second year in a row and we are very excited to be a part of it. We will be outside of PetSmart in Albuquerque (across from the Cottonwood Mall from 10am-4pm, so come on by and find a new best friend!

This is the biggest pet adoption event in New Mexico, and our shelter is partnering with Rancho de Chihuahua in the hopes of finding many homes for Espanola puppies and dogs. We need lots of volunteers, and even more adopters! Can you help these babies find their way to a new life? A big “thank you” goes out to The Albuquerque Journal, the City of Albuquerque and the PetCo Foundation for hosting this year’s event.
